Trail Builders exists so that no one is left behind. That includes our website. We want everyone to be able to use it, including people with disabilities.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities.
What we have done
- Text is at least 15 pixels in size, and body text is larger.
- Text colors meet WCAG contrast guidelines for their size.
- You can reach every link, button, and menu with a keyboard, and focus is always visible.
- Icons and buttons have text labels for screen readers.
- Animations turn off when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Pages adapt to phones, tablets, and zoom levels without losing content.
Known limitations
Some parts of our work run on other platforms, such as Givebutter for donations and Microsoft Forms for sign-ups. Those providers manage their own accessibility, and their pages may not fully meet the standard above.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site is hard to use, we want to know. Email us at admin@trailbuildersinc.org. Please tell us which page you were on and what went wrong. We will reply as soon as we can and work to fix the problem.
If you need any of our content in another format, ask us and we will do our best to provide it.
